What is Christmas on Campus?
Christmas on Campus is an annual celebration dating back to 1964 at the University of Dayton. Celebrated each year on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Christmas on Campus incorporates students, faculty, and the Dayton community into a one-night celebration. As campus is transformed into a Winter Wonderland, more than 1,000 children from Dayton City Schools are paired with UD students the night of the event. Over our many years, Christmas on Campus has evolved to be a hallmark event that embodies the Marianist tradition and Christmas Cheer.
About Our Committee
The organizational committee for Christmas on Campus consists of about 28 members: eight different subcommittees led by two Co-Coordinators. Specializing in School Outreach, Decorations, Transportation, and more, each member on our committee plays a key role in the implementation of our grand event. Countless hours of hard work and dedication allow us to transform campus into a truly magical spectacle.
The Impact
Christmas on Campus is a signature event at the University of Dayton. Fifty-seven years ago, a couple of students got together and decided they wanted to celebrate Christmas together before winter break. It began as a celebration with just the students and faculty, then involved the Dayton community and has eventually became what it is today. Combined with UD's Marianist values, deep love for service, incredible community and all the Christmas magic, our event now celebrates Christmas with over 1,000 Dayton Public School children, the Dayton community, entertainers, clubs, organizations and even more people who help make the event possible.
What Your Gifts Will Do
More than 1,000 children and other Dayton community members are welcomed onto UD's campus for a night of winter fun. Your donations would help us purchase gifts as small as a pair of gloves for a cold child the night of the event, to large decorations that can be used year after year. Christmas on Campus would not be as successful of an event without generous donors like you.

It's hard to believe that the holidays are just around the corner. Much like grocery stores around the country, UD already has Christmas on the brain (Christmas on Campus, that is!).
Every Flyer's favorite tradition, Christmas on Campus, turns 60 years old this year. In celebration of this momentous occasion the Christmas on Campus planning committee is once again crowdfunding!
Dollars donated to their COC '23 crowdfunding campaign will help make this special COC celebration everything a 60th anniversary should be.

The University of Dayton's Christmas on Campus event is a beloved tradition. Each year during the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, our campus becomes a winter wonderland for Dayton Public School children and other members of our community to enjoy. While our campaign has officially ended the Christmas on Campus committee wants to extend a sincere thank you to all of you. Our original goal was $2,000 and we achieved over $3,000 in donations! The generosity of the Dayton community never goes unnoticed.
Thanks to you we will be able to provide the Dayton area schools with the UD tradition once again. We plan on making this years Christmas on Campus a "December to Remember".

Thank you so much for your contributions already. With 24 days of fundraising still left, there is still opportunity to donate!
Although our goal has been reached, any additionally funding beyond our goal will only improve our 2021 Christmas on Campus event. Thanks to your continuous support and donations this will be a spectacular first COC since the Covid-19 pandemic.
