About

The Project

PAVE's work is invaluable as we aim to create a campus that is safe and inclusive for every student. This goal is made possible by educating students on preventing power based personal violence through presentations, one-on-one conversations, and events. We hope to one day rid this type of violence from our campus once and for all.

Who We Are

Peers Advocating for Violence Education (PAVE) is a paraprofessional group of peer educators with the goal of stopping sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking at University of Dayton. We provide effective and inclusive education to facilitate well-being on campus, empower the community to become agents of change, and spread empathetic understanding of how power based personal violence can affect individuals in an evolving world.

The Impact

With your gift, PAVE can continue its mission of preventing power based personal violence on our campus. Any donations will go towards buying supplies for training, presentations, and events. The more education we provide to students, the safer they will be. You can help us make this a reality with your donation.

Hey everyone,

WE DID IT!!!!

To all the donors who were kind enough to contribute to our campaign: thank you so much! All of us in PAVE are incredibly grateful for your help and support. Seeing our campaign at 100% (and then at 104%!!) was incredible. We will keep you updated on which projects and supplies we use the money for.

Because of you, we can continue educating students on ways to prevent power based personal violence and ensure that our campus is safe for all.

PAVE Update 2

Hi everyone!

Thanks to your generosity, we have passed the halfway mark and are on track to reaching our goal. All of us in PAVE greatly appreciate your support–we couldn't have done it without you!

This past week, we hosted Take Back the Night, an opportunity for survivors of power based personal violence to share their stories. The UD community gathered to listen and show their support. By raising awareness about these issues, we can continue our mission of creating a safer campus for all.

If you think you or a friend may have experienced sexual violence, there are resources nationally, locally, and at UD for your information, to talk out situations, or get help.

PAVE Update 1

Hey everyone!

We are excited to announce that we have reached about 25% of our goal. Woohoo! Thank you to all the donors and everyone who has shared our link on social media. All of us in PAVE greatly appreciate your support. If you haven't donated yet, there's still 26 days left to help us meet our goal!

In other exciting news, PAVE won this year's prestigious Miryam Award. The award recognizes the efforts of people on our campus to change the atmosphere and the potential for women's achievements here at the University of Dayton. We are honored to have received this incredible award.
