The Project
Remedy A Cappella is one of the premier collegiate A Cappella groups in the Midwest, and we are gearing up to expand our competitive legacy over the course of another season of competitions and performances. Remedy is seeking special funding for general operating costs to make sure that it has the ability to continue achieving competitive success on behalf of UD. These costs include travel and lodging expenses related to national competitions and out-of-state performances, professional music arrangements, professional choreography, and competition entrance fees. Any additional dollars raised will benefit the production of digital music files for use at UD events.
Who We Are
Collegiate A Cappella has grown in popularity over the past few decades, and the University of Dayton has quickly established itself as one of the premier A Cappella powerhouses of the Midwest. Remedy, one of UDโs student-run groups, has achieved great competitive success, being multi-time regional champions, winning multiple awards for individual performance, and being slated to compete for national finals before the pandemic. We hope to continue this competitive success this year and in the years to follow, spreading the Marianist values of community and education of the whole person all across the country through our performances.
The Impact
We are a group of UD students who strive to grow as performers and spread the spirit of the UD community through everything we do. We perform around the Dayton campus, in the Dayton area, and in a variety of competitions in the Midwest. Remedy A Cappella currently consists of no music majors, yet performs at a high level. This is because the membership of Remedy has a great passion for music and the performing arts. This funding will allow us to share out Marianist values through competing and growing relationships in the UD community by spreading our love for the arts.
