The Project
The Women’s Leadership Immersion is a four-day program for junior and senior women students that will provide critical skills as they prepare for their next steps after graduation. Facilitated by a variety of women leaders from the University and City of Dayton community, this program will offer women a chance to explore leadership, networking, salary negotiation, career advancement, and financial health in the context of navigating vocation.
The program will reflect the values and bold life examples of Adele de Batz de Trenquelleon and Marie-Therese Charlotte de Lamourous, the women founders of the Marianists.
Who We Are
Student Leadership Programs is partnering with the Women's Center, Career Services, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Housing and Residence Life, and the Fitz Center for Leadership in Community to host this four-day immersion.
The Impact
This program provides women in attendance with an opportunity to explore leadership and vocation in an immersive women's only environment. Past attendees have described the program as empowering, a "must attend," and the only experience they've had for women, by women.
"As a woman of color, I knew it was going to be a challenge for myself as I transition into the workplace. For me, the Women's Leadership Immersion showed me that I wasn't the only one. The guest speakers have given me the courage to continue to strive for greatness and continue to follow my dreams. No on said it would be easy but so far it has been worth it." -Ana Etienne, 2018

What Your Gifts Will Do
Your generosity will help us to offer this program at no cost to attendees. We are also hoping to expand the immersion into the city of Dayton by taking attendees off campus to meet women leaders in the community.

As the planning has started for the Women's Leadership Immersion, the committee has progressed in a number of ways. This year, we are excited to be exploring the theme of purpose through the lens of ways to Explore, Empower, and Engage. We are also excited to offer additional networking opportunities and experiences exploring and serving the Dayton community. We have used these points to market contributions to possible donors.
We were excited to have a matching contribution after having 10 donors in 3 days. We plan to run at least two more contribution matching campaigns in hopes of increasing our total participation.
Mostly, we are excited to have the support of campus and community as we plan the 2019 Women's Leadership Immersion!
